The agreement.
What you pay, what we do, how your website becomes yours, and exactly what happens if you decide to leave. No schedules, no fine print at the back — every figure is in the sentence it belongs to.
Version 1.0 · in effect from 19 August 2026
1.Who you're dealing with
LINK Marketing is a registered business name of LINK Marketing HQ Pty Ltd, ACN 684 464 220, ABN 62 684 464 220, at Level 1, 57 Berwick St, Fortitude Valley QLD 4006. That's the company you're contracting with and the company on your invoices.
These terms apply from the moment you pay your first invoice or we start work for you, whichever happens first. If we've agreed something different with you in writing, that written agreement wins over anything on this page.
2.What you're buying
Three things, and you can be on one at a time:
- rank.™ — $250 + GST a month. SEO content published to your site, daily rank tracking, monthly site health checks, lead capture, hosting, and $100 + GST a month of site work.
- rank+™ — $600 + GST a month. Everything in rank., plus a conversion landing page written and built for you every month, and $250 + GST a month of site work instead of $100.
- Hosting only — $50 + GST a month. We keep your website live, secure, backed up and updated. No content, no rank tracking, and no included site work — anything you want done is quoted from the rate card.
Every price on this page and in the portal is exclusive of GST. GST at 10% is added at checkout and shown on your tax invoice.
You can move between plans at any time. An upgrade starts immediately and is pro-rated. A downgrade starts at your next billing date, so you keep what you've already paid for.
3.The website build
Every rank. and rank+ client starts on a website we build. Automation only pays off when the traffic it wins has somewhere to convert, so this isn't optional — it's the thing the monthly fee runs on.
The build fee covers designing, writing, building and setting up that website. It is not a purchase: the site remains ours, and what it costs to take it away is set out below. We'd rather you knew that before you paid the fee than after.
The build is $1,200 + GST. You can pay it three ways, and we'll tell you which one applies to you before you pay anything:
- In full up front — $1,200 + GST as a one-off.
- Over twelve months — $250 + GST up front, then $100 + GST a month added to your subscription for twelve months. The extra $100 stops automatically once the $1,200 is paid. You don't have to ask, and we don't keep charging it.
- Discounted or free — sometimes we build at half price or at no charge. If that's you, we'll say so in writing. It doesn't change anything else in these terms, including the ownership clause below.
We build to the brief you give us in the onboarding questionnaire. Two rounds of changes are included before your site goes live. After that, changes come out of your monthly allowance like any other work, which is generally cheaper than a revision round anyway.
If you go quiet during the build — we can't get the content, photos or answers we need for 60 days — we'll pause the project and let you know. Nothing is lost and we pick it back up whenever you're ready.
4.Billing, and the fact there's no lock-in
You're billed monthly in advance by card through Stripe. Your first payment starts your first month; every one after that falls on the same date.
There is no minimum term and no lock-in contract. You can cancel from the end of any month you've paid for. What you can't do is cancel and keep a website you haven't finished paying for — see below, because that's the one clause on this page that genuinely surprises people if they haven't read it.
If a payment fails we'll email you and try again. Your site stays up and your content keeps publishing while we sort it out — a declined card is a bank problem and switching your marketing off over one helps nobody. If it's still unpaid after 30 days we'll ring you before anything stops.
We can change our prices with 30 days' written notice. If a change doesn't suit you, cancel before it takes effect and you'll pay the old price for your final month.
5.Your monthly site work allowance
Every plan includes an amount each month to spend on your actual website, on top of the SEO. rank. includes $100 + GST a month. rank+ includes $250 + GST a month. Hosting-only includes none — that plan keeps your site live and secure, and any work beyond that is quoted from the rate card.
Every job has a price on it before you agree to it, published in your portal. A text edit is $10. A new page is $150. A Google Business Profile done properly is $200. A landing page built to convert is $300. Nothing is priced after the fact.
Nothing comes off your allowance until the work is actually finished. When you ask for a job we hold the amount so you always know what's genuinely left, and if we can't do it — or it turns out to be a bigger job than the rate card covers — we tell you, and it costs you nothing.
Where a job is quoted as a range, we look at it and confirm the real number before starting. We never charge more than the figure you agreed to, even if it takes us longer than we thought.
- Unused allowance rolls over, up to a maximum of twelve months' worth. We cap it because an allowance that grows forever stops being an allowance and starts being a debt we owe you — and if you're not using it, the plan is the wrong plan and we should be talking about that instead.
- Work goes into a queue and we schedule it. A large piece of work may be spread across a few weeks, and we'll tell you when it's booked.
- If you cancel, your remaining allowance stays spendable for 60 days and then lapses. Anything you've actually paid for on top is yours and never expires.
- Allowance isn't refundable for cash and can't be transferred to another business.
If your year needs more than the allowance covers, extra work is billed from the same rate card at the same prices. There's no premium for going over.
6.Who owns the website
We do, and we keep doing. This is the part people most need to understand before they pay us anything, so it's stated plainly rather than buried.
Your monthly fee buys a service — the content, the tracking, the health checks, the hosting, the site work allowance. It does not buy the website, and no part of it is quietly paying one off. Those are two different things and we'd rather say so than let you work it out later.
The website itself is ours. We build it, we host it, we maintain it, and we own it. You have full use of it for as long as you're with us — on rank., on rank+, or on hosting-only at $50 + GST a month. Stay on any of those and your site runs, indefinitely, exactly as it is.
If you ever want to take it away, you buy it: $2,500 + GST, and it's yours outright, code and all. You can do that at any point — while you're still with us, on your way out, or years later. It isn't a fee for leaving and it isn't triggered by leaving; it's simply what the website costs to buy.
That figure doesn't change. It isn't higher because you're new and it isn't lower because you've been with us ten years — your service fees paid for a service you received, and they were never a deposit on a website.
What you own from day one, and what we never had a claim on: your domain name, your logo and brand assets, your photographs, your written content, your customer data, your leads and your Google accounts. Those are yours, they were always yours, and you can take them whenever you like. If you leave, we'll hand over an export of your content within 14 days of you asking.
Every website we build carries embedded identifying markers, in both the code and the content. They're part of the work, they don't affect how your site performs or how it ranks, and we don't publish where they are. Removing them, obscuring them, or having someone rebuild around them doesn't change who owns the site — and if a site we built turns up elsewhere without the $2,500 being paid, those markers are how we'll establish it was ours.
None of this applies to a site you already owned when you came to us. If we're working on your existing website, it stays entirely yours and this section is irrelevant to you.
7.If you leave
Cancel from your portal any time. You keep everything through to the end of the month you've paid for.
Your website keeps running as long as you're paying us for something. Drop to hosting-only at $50 + GST a month and it stays live, stays maintained, and keeps capturing leads. Nothing else changes.
If we discounted or waived your build fee and you leave inside the first twelve months, the unpaid part of that fee falls due. That is us recovering a discount, not a cancellation penalty, and it is separate from the $2,500 — it doesn't buy you the website. Your portal shows the figure and asks you to ring us, because a discounted build with money still on it is a conversation rather than a button.
That last option is real. You will never be pursued for the balance of a build you've handed back — the buyout is what it costs to take the site with you, not a debt for having tried us.
If you stop paying us altogether and don't buy the site, it comes down — but not straight away. We hold it for 60 days first. Ring us inside that window and it's back up the same day. After 60 days we delete it, and we won't be able to get it back.
8.If an invoice goes unpaid
We'll email you, try the card again, and then ring you. That's three attempts to sort out something that's usually an expired card.
If an account is still unpaid 60 days after we've contacted you, we may suspend the services and refer the debt to Active Debt Recovery or another licensed collection agency. Where we do, you're responsible for reasonable recovery costs and any interest, and we'll tell you before it's referred rather than after.
Taking a website we built and hosting it elsewhere without paying the buyout figure is treated the same way as an unpaid invoice, and the amount owing is the buyout figure that applied on the day you left.
9.What we need from you
Content, photos and answers when we ask for them, and reasonably promptly — most build delays are waiting on something we can't write ourselves.
Access to the accounts we need to do the work: your domain registrar, your Google Business Profile, your Search Console. We ask for the least access that does the job, and you can revoke it any time.
That you actually own, or have permission to use, everything you send us. If a photo or a block of text you give us turns out to be someone else's, that's a problem we can't fix for you.
That you tell us when your business details change. A phone number that's been wrong for three months costs you more in lost leads than everything on this page put together.
10.What we do and don't promise
We promise the work: the content gets written and published, the rankings get tracked daily, the health checks get run, the site stays up, and someone answers the phone.
We don't promise positions. Nobody can. Google's ranking systems are not ours, they change constantly, and any agency that guarantees you a number one is either guessing or lying. What we do guarantee is that you can see exactly what's been done and exactly what it moved, every month, in your portal — including the months it went sideways.
SEO takes time. Meaningful movement usually takes three to six months, and we'd rather say that now than have you expect it in three weeks.
11.Hosting, uptime and your data
Your site is hosted on infrastructure we manage, with daily backups. We aim for 99.9% uptime and we've built it to get there, but we don't offer a contractual uptime guarantee at these prices and we're not going to pretend otherwise.
We handle security updates, SSL certificates and platform maintenance as part of your fee. There's nothing for you to renew and nothing that silently expires.
We handle your personal information under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles — see our privacy statement. Your leads and customer data are yours, and we don't sell, rent or share them.
We may mention that we work with you, and show your site in our portfolio and case studies. If you'd rather we didn't, tell us and we won't.
12.Your rights under Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law that can't legally be excluded. Where the law gives you a right, these terms don't take it away, and if anything on this page conflicts with that law, the law wins.
Where we're legally allowed to limit our liability, we limit it to re-supplying the service or refunding what you paid for it. We're not liable for indirect or consequential loss — lost profits, lost business, lost data beyond our backups — except where the law says we are.
Our total liability to you in any twelve-month period is capped at what you paid us in that period.
13.Changes to these terms
We'll give you 30 days' written notice by email before any change that materially affects you, and the version number and date at the top of this page will change with it.
If a change doesn't suit you, cancel before it takes effect and the old terms apply to your final month. Continuing to pay after a change takes effect means you've accepted it.
The current version always lives at this page. We don't hide old ones — ask and we'll send you the version you signed up under.
14.Law, and what to do if something goes wrong
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and the courts of Queensland have jurisdiction.
Before anything formal, ring us on 07 3899 8311. We're a Brisbane business and almost everything gets sorted in one phone call. If it doesn't, we'll both give genuine mediation a go before anyone starts proceedings — except where someone needs an urgent injunction.
If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, that part is severed and the rest keeps working.
Something here you don't like?
Ring us on 07 3899 8311 before you sign up rather than after. We'd rather have the conversation now than have you find out in month eight that you'd assumed something different.
